Pacific Islander Advisory Council

Council Executive Order | Council Member Directory | Meeting Schedule

The Pacific Islander Advisory Council serves as a liaison between the State Office of Pacific Islander Affairs and the Pacific Islander community. The Council identifies problems, develops solutions, determines the key state governmental resources used by the Pacific Islander community, and creates an awareness within the community of available resources.

The council assists in keeping the governor apprised of the level of responsiveness of state government agencies to the need of the Pacific Islanders within Utah by gathering information on the need of constituents and developing recommendations regarding how the state can meet the need of the entire Pacific Islander population. The council encourages community involvement and coordination among the other ethnic councils as common issues arise.

Please feel free to contact your Council Representative, if you want to be heard on any issues or concerns that may impact the Pacific Islander community of Utah. Your comments and ideas to benefit our community are also most welcome.
